Why do we need confidence? To move toward our goals
Read about one of the most important resources for achieving your goals.
Confidence is a resource necessary for overcoming obstacles.
What it's spent on:
— Resisting pressure or being derailed from our goals;
— Decision-making. For example, the more expert you are, the more doubts you have, the lower your confidence;
— Putting pressure on the outside world;
— Confirming your goals in your head.
If you have doubts when choosing something, this is an indicator that confidence is being drained. We also spend it on overcoming doubts, both our own and those of others. Giving confidence to others is a drain on our own resources.
Confidence isn't a quality, it's fuel. It doesn't ensure clarity, and vice versa. Everything may be clear, but there's no acceptance. One doesn't generate the other.
